Counselling Service

Modern therapy offers solutions based on western models of the human condition. While effective in some ways, it tends to lack essential beliefs, values and direction for some conscious Muslims for whom spirituality and psychology are intertwined.

Muslim communities in very need to counseling services through an Imam who have the time to listen. These services are available for Islamic Society of Tringle of NC and neighbors’ cities.  Our counseling is based on Islamic teachings.  Complex issues or those requiring clinical counseling may be referred to outside agencies or professionals. Areas of counseling include:

1. Family Counseling
2. Marriage Counseling
3. Parent/Child Counseling

-Marriage Officiant [ $300 ]

It is He Who created you from a single person, and made his mate of like nature, in order that he might dwell with her (in love). When they are united, she bears a light burden and carries it about (unnoticed). When she grows heavy, they both pray to Allah their Lord, (saying): “If Thou give us a goodly child, we vow we shall (ever) be grateful.” (Quran 7:189)

Requirements for Marriage:

1. Mutual agreement (Ijab-O-Qubul) by the bride and the groom
2. Two adult witnesses
3. Mahr (marriage-gift) to be paid by the groom to the bride either immediately (muajjal) or deferred (muakhkhar), or a combination of both
4. Legal guardian (wakeel) representing the bride
5. Written marriage contract (“Aqd-Nikah) signed by the bride and the groom and witnesses by two adult and sane witnesses
6. Marriage License from any county in in North Carolina
7. For those who did not have the License ready call for more information

Once, all the requirements have been met, please contact Br. Abdelnaser Rezk directly to set up an appointment.

There is a space on the license for a religion-based marriage, where the person officiating the marriage specifies it to be upon the Islamic faith. After the couple, the witnesses, and the Imam sign the license, the Imam mails it to the official registry of deed for any county and the couple receives a copy through the mail. Also, we provide the couple of a “gift card” and well-designed “ceremony certificate” to hang on the wall. Ceremony certificate is different than license.

We are contacting [Masajid] in the area or across the nation in finding offer marriage match making services. There are many Masajid, Islamic centers and Islamic sites on the internet where you may post your information to help find your potential spouse as well as several masajid. Please remember to uphold Islamic behavior and etiquette while searching for and meeting your potential spouse.

If you have found your potential spouse, please consider pre-marital counseling with Br. Abdelnaser Rezk to get your marriage off to a great start. Call us also for more information on pre-marital counseling. Imam Abdelnaser Rezk is trained and certified marriage officiant. He also, available to give instruction and join the couple during the oath at the county register of deed. County register of deed has a ceremony room for little party.

Wills are very important to have in order for us to fulfill our responsibility towards our living relatives after we have passed. Islamic Will provides peace of mind that you will fulfill your obligations to your loved ones according to the just rules specified in the Quran. 

When you ready call the office of Br. Abdelnaser Rezk 919-245-1629 to schedule an appointment for your will. Since there some detailed information are required, will explained to you during your appointment. You are welcome to have any of your family members with you to witness or we will have Muslims brothers from your local Masjid or the closest Masjid. Everyone has unique circumstances which can impact the details in the will.  Please plan for your appointment to be about one hour and ½ hours.
